In addition, relying on the latest information technology, the company is exploring the possibility of providing an integrated online and offline medical service delivery model - that is, integrating traditional face-to-face consultation services with online follow-up, online consultation, video emergency and health management services.

It is reported that Distinct HealthCare has nearly 300 full-time doctors from home and abroad, and has signed direct payment agreements with more than 40 mainstream insurance companies worldwide.

Wang Zhiyuan, founder and CEO of Distinct HealthCare, pointed out that after this round of financing, the company plans to, on the one hand, build five new small and medium-sized hospitals and 10 large comprehensive outpatient clinics within five years to accelerate the improvement of offline service capabilities; on the other hand, accelerate the improvement of online service capabilities and process synergy, to truly realize the integrated delivery of medical services online and offline, and achieve the goal of serving one million family members as soon as possible.

Wang Zhiyuan said that offline entities are the core carrier of medical services, in the short term, expanding the scale of offline must be the focus of enterprise development. But in view of the different needs of different cities for medical consumption upgrade, Distinct HealthCare will add relatively few cities in the next three years, but mainly focus on the existing cities to do deep, such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Wuhan and so on.

At the same time, the company is also focusing on the use of digital means to improve the ability to serve patients and service radius; as well as its own supply chain management, operations and quality control capabilities, in order to achieve cost reduction and efficiency.

Wang Zhiyuan has previously revealed that since the company got the Internet hospital license in March last year, the current online business revenue currently only accounts for 10% of the total revenue, he also pointed out that there are capacity thresholds to break through to do the digital transformation, talent is also one of the core challenges currently encountered, the top technology companies into the endorsement and recruitment of talent, for the company’s digital transformation are to help.

From the perspective of the overall industry demand, the potential for private healthcare development is established.

According to relevant statistics, China’s private healthcare market reached $93 billion in 2019, with a compound annual growth rate of more than 20%, well complementing public hospital resources. In terms of penetration rate, the penetration rate of private healthcare in China is much lower than that of developed countries and some developing countries, leaving much room for market expansion. In addition, the country has further opened up the medical service industry and encouraged social capital to actively participate in running medical services, which are conducive to the development of private hospitals.

In such a tide, Distinct HealthCare has also come out with its own unique path, including differentiated departments, new online and offline integrated medical service delivery methods, following the principles of evidence-based medicine, etc., and has carried out a lot of beneficial practices, and there will be more room for growth in the future.

Wei Guoxing, the partner of Tiantu Capital, said he is very optimistic about the long-term development potential of boutique medical services in China. As a benchmark brand in the industry, Distinct HealthCare continues to polish and refine its medical quality and digital services, providing users with a full range of quality services and accumulating a particularly great user reputation. We are very happy to work with our team to make quality healthcare available to more and more families in China.
